Sherry Burnham
Realtor
Sherry was born and raised in the picturesque Hill Country of Texas, specifically in Llano, where her family has been running a working cattle ranch since the 1800s. Growing up in this vibrant environment instilled in her a deep appreciation for both the land and the hard work that comes with ranching. After finishing high school, she pursued her education at Durham Business School in Austin, Texas, where she focused on Business Administration, Bookkeeping, and Paralegal Law. This foundational experience paved the way for her early career, including a five-year stint with Glastron Boat Company, and eventually led her to her new home in San Saba after marrying Teddy Burnham.
In San Saba, she worked as a Paralegal and Land Title Examiner at Senterfitt, Adams, Miller & Childress Law Firm, which helped her deepen her understanding of real estate law. Her journey continued when she was hired as the Tax Assessor/Collector for the local school district. During weekends, she took the initiative to attend Real Estate School in Austin, earning her license in 1981. By 1987, Sherry and Teddy made a significant move to Bellville, Texas, where they established their own cattle ranch and a custom pecan harvesting business. Over the years, they owned the Cochran Store for two decades and dedicated time and resources to support local organizations, including the Austin and Waller County Fairs.
In 1993, Sherry joined a local Real Estate Brokerage specializing in Farm and Ranch properties, and she recently made the exciting decision to join Hodde Real Estate Company in July 2024. This new venture allows her to work alongside a team of experienced professionals committed to serving the Austin, Waller, and Colorado County areas. She encourages anyone interested in real estate to reach out to her directly at sherry@hoddere.com or 979-877-4462. Stay tuned for updates on our permanent office location, where she looks forward to welcoming you for a cup of coffee and discussing how she can assist you in buying or selling property. Exciting times are ahead!
